What data we collect and how we use it.

TL;DR

Your text never leaves your device. PromptCorrector runs entirely in your browser — we do not operate a backend that processes or stores your content. We use Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics, and we ask for your consent before loading it.

Your content

All text formatting and conversion happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing you paste or type is transmitted to our servers — because there are no servers involved in processing your text. Downloads are generated directly in your browser and saved to your device.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how the tool is used — for example, which features are popular and how many people visit. GA4 is only loaded after you have given consent via the cookie banner.

  • Analytics cookies are only set after you accept.
  • IP addresses are anonymised before storage (anonymize_ip: true).
  • You can withdraw consent at any time by declining in the cookie banner or clearing your browser's local storage.

Cookies and local storage

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to track sessions and measure usage. We also use localStorage to remember your cookie consent choice and theme preference. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set.

Third-party resources

The app loads fonts from Google Fonts and open-source libraries from jsDelivr (a CDN). These requests reveal your IP address to those services, as with any web request. We have no control over their data practices — see Google's privacy policy and jsDelivr's privacy policy.
